I trained in fine art as a sculptor and my early work in both sculpture and drawing was figuratively based. Developing an understanding of drawing and its practice has been central to all my work and drawing processes are extended into printmaking.

Practice is a personal confirmation with a return to abstract forms, developing processes to combine materials and using casting methods including pigmented stuccos to construct sculpture.

My work has been facilitated by research, mainly into contemporary understandings of perception and cognitive systems. I exhibit and have worked to commission in both sculpture and design. My studio practice is based in the North East of England.
